Published two more of my @bot templates today for anyone who hates hidden travel fees as much as I do.
A travel scout bot that skips teaser fares, checks airline sites directly, does the points math, and watches booked trips for price drops.
For
You book travel and hate hidden fees.
When you're done
Real totals and alerts when a booked fare drops.
How
- 01
Create a bot whose job is flights, hotels, and points.
- 02
Tell it to ignore basic economy teaser fares and check airline sites directly.
- 03
Have it compare cash against card points.
- 04
Have it watch booked trips and tell you when a price drops so you can claim credit.
- 05
For cruises, compare full totals including gratuities and bundles.
Notes
What's good: it does the fee and points math. The catch: the rebooking is still yours.
